Senior Gameplay Programmer (UE4)

Pour la fin du développement de Stray nous recherchons un ou une Senior Gameplay Programmer sur Unreal Engine 4.
En collaboration avec le lead GPP et le reste de l’équipe, votre rôle sera de finaliser, debugger et optimiser différentes features de gameplay (3C, IA, Interface, GPE, …).

Profil :

  • Maîtrise avancée des principes du C++ et de l’Unreal Engine 4.
  • Excellente sensibilité gameplay, capable de projeter le résultat de son travail dans l’expérience de jeu finale.
  • Bonnes capacités de communication : capable de parler proactivement de son travail, aussi bien à des programmeurs qu’à des profanes.
  • Ouvert à la critique de son travail et de celui des autres.
  • Être autonome, curieux, polyvalent et proactif.

Poste à temps plein à distance.

Senior Gameplay Programmer (UE4)

For the end of the development of Stray we are looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer on Unreal Engine 4.
In collaboration with the Technical Director and the rest of the team, your role will be to finalize, debug and optimize various gameplay features (Controls, AI, UI, Gameplay elements, …).

Profile :

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the C++ principles and of Unreal Engine 4.
  • Excellent gameplay sensitivity, capable of projecting the result of his/her work in the final game experience.
  • Great communication skills: capable of talking proactively about his/her work, to programmers as well as non technical persons.
  • Open to criticism of his/her work as well as others.
  • Autonomous, curious, versatile and proactive.


The position is remote work and full time.

It is finally time for us to communicate a bit with you who, thanks from the bottom of our hearts, show interest in our project.

“HK_Project” is more than ever under development!

We took the necessary time to do things properly; two years ago it was only the two of us dreaming and prototyping this project in our apartment.

We are thrilled to announce that, since the funding, we have created our own company called “BlueTwelve Studio” and that we are now a team of 5 people working on this project in an actual office!

“HK_Project” (working title) is well under way, we still have a few years of development ahead of us but it is definitely coming.

Il est enfin temps de communiquer un petit peu avec vous qui, merci du fond du cœur, portez attention à notre projet.

“Hk_project” est plus que jamais en cours de développement !

Nous avons pris le temps nécessaire pour faire les choses correctement; il y a deux ans nous n’étions encore que deux à imaginer et prototyper ce projet dans notre appartement.

Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer que depuis le financement du projet nous avons créé notre propre société “BlueTwelve Studio” et que nous sommes désormais 5 à travailler sur ce projet dans de vrais locaux.

“Hk_Project” (titre provisoire) est sur de bons rails, nous avons encore quelques années de développement devant nous mais le jeu verra bien le jour.

-Why don’t you post updates more often ?
-> Our team is composed of two humans and two cats, unfortunately one of these cat is responsable of the communication.

-Platform release ?
-> PC and maybe PS4/Xbox1/CPC6128/Atari2600/…

-When can I play this game ?
-> Not soon, we are still at the very beginning of the creation process (preprod / R&D). We need few more years to make what we want.

-Early access ?
-> Nope.

-Is it a dynamic procedural systemic survival open world (etc…) game ?
-> Nope.

-Game genre ?
-> A third person solo adventure game.

-At what period the game take place ?
-> In an indefinite period.

-Are you recreacting Kowloon Walled City ?
-> KWC is one of our main inspiration, but we want to create our very own unique dystopian city.

Some gameplay work in progress

Hey guys !

It’s been long time since the last update so here it is :

We’ve been pretty busy on working on the cat behaviour.
This took us a lot of time because we had to learn how all the gameplay/animation thing works.

I have spent a lot of time to have correct collision for the cat. Seeing that the character controller in unreal 4 is mainly for biped, there was a lot to do to have the cat collided with the world without his head passes through walls or to have it walking on small surfaces without falling (it maybe seems easy but for me it was a real headache).

So here’s 2 quick videos showing some progress on the cat behaviour (Keep in mind that it’s really wip).
